James Wilson

James is our Associate Pastor of Outreach and Youth.  He joined the staff at First Baptist in June 2018, and has been in vocational ministry for over 25 years.  In addition to directing and working with all aspects of the Student Ministry, James assists and leads in numerous responsibilities across the church as a whole, from filling the pulpit, to coordinating church-wide emphases, to conducting meetings with various committees and volunteers.  He focuses all his responsibilities toward the 5 purposes of the church as indicated in the Scriptures:  worship, fellowship, discipleship, service, and evangelism.  James has a Master's degree in Military History from Norwich University, a Master's degree in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi.  In his free time, James and his wife Melissa enjoy dining and drinking coffee at the mulititude of local establishments along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  In addition, he is an avid collector of action figures from his favorite movie franchise, Star Wars!  He can be contacted through email at jwilson@fbcgautier.org
